Meet Maddie! {Children} | Northern Kentucky Children Photographer

I get asked to donate to a lot of charitable causes and being a small business owner, I can’t do them all, but when asked to give a donation for the Northern Kentucky Policeman’s Ball, this was one I was so happy to say yes to!  I’m so grateful for the work our local police men and women do!

Maddie’s Mom, Barbie, was the winner of the Silent Raffle for an outdoor session. Barbie said that Maddie is very outgoing, social and quickly warms up to people and was super excited to come and be photographed by me.  I found this to be so true!  Maddie is ADORABLE and so engaging!  When she smiles, it just makes you feel happy!  She came in this beautiful long white dress with a pink sash and she really wanted to wear her black Chuck Taylors!  Apparently, Maddie’s older brother has the same Chuck Taylors, so she wanted to be photographed in them with her dress!  I LOVED IT and love doing different things like this!

I was amazed at how comfortable she was in front of the camera!  She just was her cute, adorable self and was having so much fun!  After a quick change in the studio, Maddie changed into a favorite skirt, scarf and cowboy, or should I say cowgirl boots.  She was going to tuck all her hair up in her knit hat, but I told her that I wear mine with my hair down, so she thought that was cool to wear hers down too!  Haha, again, she was just so darn cute!  She also saw a picture of a high school senior girl that I have hanging up in my studio holding a vintage camera. (Here’s a link to the HS Senior picture: http://kellymichellephotography.com/blog/?p=1290) Maddie loved this picture & wanted to do the same thing, so I replicated it for her! Her whole shoot was a fun time for all of us!  Here are some of my favorites from Maddie’s photo shoot! Enjoy!

Erin {Senior} | Crittenton High School Senior Photographer

Erins’s Mom, Jolinda had read an article about me in Northern Kentucky University’s magazine called “The Northerner” called the “Enterprising Eight, Alumni Entrepreneurs” back in the Fall of 2009.  (Here is the link to the article online, http://northernmagazine.nku.edu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20%3Acapturing-lifes-moments&catid=1&Itemid=58)  Anyway, Jolinda said that she decided then, that I would be the one to take Erin’s Senior Portraits!  How cool is that!?  So here we are, a few years later, taking beautiful portraiture of Miss Erin!

Erin lives on a farm in Crittenton, KY.  She is a country girl at heart and loves to spend time with her horse Ginger.   So, I was so excited to do her photo session on location at their farm. It is so pretty and peaceful.  Naturally, Erin and her parents wanted the country and casual style.  My prayers must have been answered because soon after I arrived, the hot sunny sky went behind the clouds . . . cooled it down and allowed us to go anywhere on the farm!

I was so please with the images, and as always, had such a hard time narrowing them down.  I could tell right from the start that Erin was comfortable and happy to have her images taken here.  She and Mom Jolinda did a wonderful job putting together her outfits . . . giving me a range to be creative from upscale to casual.  Enjoy viewing Erin beautiful images!

Rachel {Senior} | Erlanger High School Senior Photographer

Rachel is a very talented gal with a wide variety of interests from playing the drums, running and country music!    She described herself as very determined, passionate and hard working . . .  a person who likes to accomplish and learn new things!  I am here to tell you. . .  that is so!  She is also very sweet and easy to talk to!

I love the image of the white and black Fall jacket!  We went outside the studio to photograph her in this!  I love the feel of sophistication & beauty that this image shows.  It is definitely one of my favorites of Miss Rachel!  Her blue eyes are very striking & in all her images, her lovely baby blues really shined!  Here are a few other favorites from Rachel’s photo shoot!

Cason {Newborn} | Florence, KY Newborn Photographer

Last November when my sister, Sandy told us that she and hubby Mike were going to have an “Independence Day Baby,” I was so happy for them and really excited to be an Auntie!!!

But Cason SURPRISED all of us by coming a month early!  After having great care at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center/Edgewood’s NIC Unit, he came home after 10 days!  With pre-mature babies, it gets tricky to decide when to photograph them, but Mommy Sandy and Daddy Mike felt that he was ready to be photographed at about 2 weeks!

Thank goodness I had at least gotten some outdoor maternity images of Sandy and Mike before Cason’s early arrival!  They were taken at Generation Hill Winery in southern Kenton County owned by Bill and Sherry Buda who are friends of the family.  Check out their award winning Kentucky wines on Facebook & LIKE their page! (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Generation-Hill-Winery/201604766541561)  I will add more images from their maternity session soon, so keep a look out for them!

Here’s a sampling of a few of my favorites from Cason’s newborn session!  I love the simple black and white images of Cason contently sleeping.  Isn’t he beautiful!?  One of the family favorites is this one of Cason smiling in this adorable little hat!   It just makes us laugh and we feel so happy to have him in our lives!  I’m happy that they will be able to cherish these images for a lifetime, & I can’t wait to continue photographing him as he grows up!

Ellington {Babies} | Northern KY/Cincinnati Baby Photographer

I can’t believe that is Ellington is 7 months already!  It’s scary when time passes by so quickly!  My . . .  has she changed since we photographed her as a newborn.  But one thing is for sure, she is beautiful!  Of course, Daddy Matt is handsome and Mommy Alicia is gorgeous, so Donna and I expected that!  Ellington was so sleepy during her newborn session that we didn’t see her eyes.  As you can tell from the images, she got her Daddy’s baby blues!

Alicia did a wonderful job working with us “stylizing” Ellington for her session.  All of her outfits were so adorable.  Ellington not only looked fabulous, but also has personality plus too, and is a very happy, smiley baby!  I love all of the many expressions that babies have at this age.  So glad we captured so many of them!  I’ll leave the rest of her adorable expressions in her images for Matt and Alicia to share.  Here a some of my favorites from her session!:)
